FLY FISHING SCHOOL
|The Upper Midwest Council is excited to announce a Fly Fishing School to be held July 24 – 26, 2015 in the Rushford Minnesota area. The Fly Fishing School is open to IFFF members as well as to the general public. Registration fees for the general public will include a membership to the IFFF. The school will offer classes in fly tying and casting for the beginner as well as those with more experience. The Rushford area is located in the Driftless area renown for miles of trout rivers and streams.

Registration Fees IFFF member Individual $90.00 Couple or Parent/Youth $170.00 (Youth – ages 15-18)
Registration fees cover all classes for the weekend and the lunch on Saturday. Not covered by the registration fee is the Banquet meal on Saturday evening and motel accommodations. The non IFFF member fee also includes a $35.00 individual membership to the International Federation of Fly Fishers for one year.
Loken’s Rushford Inn is the designated motel for accommodations. There are also other motels or campgrounds in the area.
For the non fisher person that might also attend, there are also a variety of activities in the local area that would be of interest. The Root River Bike Trail is a 60 mile paved bicycle trail that runs through Rushford.
There are wineries in the area that offer tours and nearby State parks with caves to explore. Peterson, MN has a state fish hatchery and offers tours. The National Trout Center is located in Preston, MN and is a must see for the trout enthusiast.
